resolution sucks.

2 * 640x480 LCDs.

Not good enough. Not good enough by far.

That one is pretty low tech... something like 640x480. It'll give you the sensation of flight but with very low "reality".

Check this site for some hi tech gear: http://www.vrealities.com/hmd.html
Check out the Visette 45 SXGA, VR1280 or nVisorSX ( 1280x1024 )

(But the price tag is..... insane... at least. You can - almost - buy a small a/c with that kind of money)

Not enough demand to bring the prices down.

Attatching the IRtracker reflector to the visor cover on the helmet and having the VR goggles flip up when not a dogfight, and still large touchscreen monitor infront for cockpit switches.

I bought 62" dlp tv and Nvidia 3D glasses paired up with TIR4. Much higher quality and true 3D for about $2000 and I run at 1920*1080 resolution. Flying Blackshark with it is very immersive.

3D glasses for some, including me, cause headaches.
