I read about this one once before, it was mentioned it was part of a themepark. But this is the first time I have seen pictures of it.

You of course know what that means don't you? Its a signal that the Chinese are sending that basically says 'This is where we are headed'... And while I cant see them fielding a trully indigenous carrier-borne a/c (look at the J-10 and how long development of that took - plus the associated (rumoured) project hassles), but even with the Global Economic Crisis, its not unfathomable that the Chinese Navy (PLN or soemthing?) could launch its first 'super-carrier' within 10 years, with a compliment of Naval Su- and MiG- a/c.

Its definately not something the region needs, but lets face it, there are no rules that say they can't!

After looking at the pic i have just 1 question, how will they get it to the ocean? I saw what looks like a small stream to the east and a canal with bridges to the north. All look to small to get a carrier to the sea.
