Can someone please recommend good LCD Monitor for flight sims. I think I want to go with 22inch to keep the frame rates higher. Or should I not pay too much attention to the size.

Thanx

Size matters.... As far as I am concerned, the bigger the better.

I bought myselfe a Dell Ultrasharp 24 inch monitor some 2.5 years ago. Never regretted it. At my work they had bought an Acer 24" just a few months earlier, and I actually ordered the same for me as well. Luckily that screen never arrived, and my work has since gone through 3 of the same monitors.

It has been a while since I played flight simulators on my computer, but running CounterStrike:Source i get ~ 80-120 frames per second @ 1920x1200. That ofcourse depends on the rest of your hardware. My computer is also about 2.5 years old.

In my opinion, bigger screen gives better gameplay. The good ol' 17" inch CRT just dont do it for me any more ;)

Thanx Emohawk. I made up my mind and I'm gonna go with the
BenQ 24" G2400WD. It has very good reviews.

I went with a projector - only thing I lack is a couple more feet in the room.

I am also debating which one to go for.
Samsung T220 or T240. I like the 2ms response time for the T220.
I did also see a big discount ($100off) in my local flyer for Dell UltraSharp 24 inch.

Simple decision as far as LCDs, either Samsung or Dell. Samsung's warrenty exchangs is great. Free cross shipping to the local UPS store.

I have never tried Samsung, but my old Dell LCD still blows my mind sometimes when it comes to color! I am considering buying another LCD (24" Dell Ultrasharp), but unfortunately by graphics card has somewhat died, so current funding will eighter go into a new setup or a new gfx-card.

I love my Samsung T260. Huge amount of real estate. Bright, vibrant colors. Quick refresh rate. No dead pixels. Large variety of input types to choose from. Had it about two months so far. Loving it for flight simming....!

Samsung makes the panels for the majority of Dell LCDs.
