The flight dynamics look pretty good but I wonder how great the sim itself is =/. Also the cockpit doesn't look all that functional. Maybe we're looking at another AceCombat Arcadish sim?

i dont think so , these guys want to make it as acurate as possible, also there will be the full waponery from this era available.

Well, the A4B Cockpit isn't very "functional" anyways lol it didn't even have a radar :P

Cant wait to fly the Harrier though!

Radar screen is below the Gunsight. Wasnt very functional back then and only very simplistic.

A-4 DO NOT have radar! Mentioned screen is in fact weapon guidance screen.

nice way of thinking, but this systems worked during its era.
by the way they will implement the sea harrier including radar, also the french dassault super entard with its exocet anti ship missles.

i guess this sim will be a good thing during the long and painful wait for fighterops.

Correct, A-4 used in the Falklands didn't had radar, HUD or any RWR/EW system. They had only a WWII-style gunsight, radio, TACAN and radaraltimeter.

The A4 Did have radar, but the Bravo and Charlie models didn't.

the A4E and A4F model skyhawks had radar (no air to air mode) and RWR

A4K Kahu upgrade has an F-16 radar with A/A modes although that was well after the Faulklands war.

Correct. Only Bravo and Charlies were used in the Falklands. Charlie actually HAD the AN/APG-53A radar, but the none of these radars were actually serviceable during the 1982 conflict. Most of the US avionics, like the LABS (Low Altitude Bombing System), were removed before the delivery to Argentina. Few Skyhawks had a locally installed VLF Omega nav system, with its console/panel fitted roughly in the place were the radar was.

Yes, these usually had AN/APG-53 radars, although modernized ones had a variety of newer systems, for example, the current A-4AR Fighting Hawk used by Argentina has the APG-66V2 (ARG-1) radar.

WOW!!! I don't have a clue how many polys this model is but it certainly is hands down one of the best, if not THE BEST and the smoothest model I've ever seen for a flight sim!!!

This and some nice visual effects/lighting/animation and my computer will be pregnant!!
