No, it wasn't canceled, in fact it was already released in Russia... in October if I remember correctly... and it's a disaster. Flight model is not existent, the rudder pedals work in wrong direction, graphics are rather bad, you have only few missions in single player, no multi, etc, etc.

If you want heli flight sim, wait for Black Shark.

ya i have been a member of Hover Control for god knows how long. Fs9 is getting old though.

By the looks of it (the movie of WhirlWind) it looks as though the developers computer can barely run it..lol

maybe it is just me though.
