EECH 2 is currently bad news ...
Yes, they have updated the Graphics Engine and added VoiceCommands, but along the way they neglected to eliminate year old bugs and introduced some new ones along the way.
There is a lot more stuff to it and you can read alot about the famous EECH2 in the SimHQ forums here : http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=99&page=1
On a side note, SimHQ for starters hasn't even gotten a Review Copy yet even tho they got one promised long ago ... guess the Devs don't want to get "officially" bashed.
Bottom Line: At this moment in time I wont pay even the smallest amount of money for EECH 2 but instead have fun with a stable working and continually improving EECH modded to 1.8.6.
Cheers

Hmm all of a sudden, I'm not so anxious for SimWare to get me copy. :( It sux that "new" sims has all these faults in them. I'll wait to receive my own copy though.

Now that is not exactly a fair statement... A company I used to run was slated to get a mid-beta version of Lock On. It finally showed up 4 months later than they promised it only because the PR idiot that was supposed to send it to us left it in her desk when she went on leave to have a baby.

All software has bugs in it. Nature of the beast. If you wait to release something for too long then your besieged by feature creep - of which you then need to test - so it takes longer - and more requirements are changed - and the never ending cycle continues.
Look back at early versions of Falcon. That isn't a "new" sim and it suffered from the same issue.

Thanks for telling me ........ I wasn't aware that they can't foresee problems with the multitude of different configurations out there
Really......... come on. Don't talk to me like I'm some 5 year old kid.

Didn't realize I was. All I was stating is that ALL sims have bugs in them... not just the "new" ones.

And that is glaringly obvious, so that's why I was "slightly" defensive about your comment.
