So I've decided to sell my brand new 2007 Mazda3 S Touring Silver Sedan, and I thought it wouldn't hurt to put it up here for you guys to check it out also...
It is set to only be available to north and south American buyers, but if anybody is interested in buying it internationally, let me know and we'll figure something out. Local guys are also welcome to come by to check her out anytime :wink2: .

My Auction On EbayMotors (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110110625076&rd=1&rd=1)

Also, if you guys find something wrong with the page, let me know to fix it. I would put it up on this forum, except that it's got too many pictures and links for this forum's limit.

Also, if any of you guys are wondering why I'm selling her. Well, I love this car so much that I want to upgrade to a Speed3:

Nice choice of car funky, it looks like the same as australias Mazda3 MPS.
Very hot hatch. Ive been wanting one since they came out, just can't afford it!
Let us know how she goes.

Cheers

yea Mazda3 MPS is the same thing as Mazdaspeed3... or Speed3 to be specific. The only difference is probably the minor tuning/exhaust differences to correspond to emission laws. The wheel's on the other side for you guys too :wink2:
Edmunds.com rated this car #1 within six other cars within its class. There was a Turbo Mini, GTI, WRX, some chevy and something else. I'm pretty exited, but I have to sell my current car first...

nice .. i've got a Mazda3 SP3.

having said that i wouldn't be buying an MPS if i was to buy a car of that caliber ... too much power for a poor little FWD car lol. i'd be looking at something in a 4WD .. WRX or similar.

i'd say the SP3 would be about similar specs to your current car. It sits below the MPS in the lineup in Australia. It only has 115kw and is a tad suggish to say the least, but does for my wife to go shopping and pick the kids up. I think the MPS out here has 190Kw and is a turbo but the trouble is getting all that power down to the ground.

Have you ever tried upgrading your rims+tires? Most people like the stock rims on the speed3 (MPS) but one thing they're heavy, and second thing they're not that wide. The stock tires are not famous for their grab either. Going to a light 17x7.5 rim with some good quality tires will give best results. I like Rota Torques, because they're light and good looking.

As far as tires, I'd go with the corresponding Toyo T1R tires. They seem to have a good record of traction and weighing only 20 LBs, they sure would make a good setup for you.
http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/product_spec.asp?lpid=18966&name=Proxes%20T1R™&category=sport (http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/product_spec.asp?lpid=18966&name=Proxes%20T1R™&category=sport)

By doing these upgrades, you're gonna lighten each wheel by 10lbs EACH !!! Your current wheels are 49LBs (each) but they will be reduced to 39lb, and will offer a total of 2 inch of extra traction on much better tires!!! This will probably save you a good .5+ second on your 0-60.
Of course Speed3's not known for its 0 to 60 anyways, because of FWD.

Hope you get good results from this Cobra,

Funky

PS. NOW SOMEBODY BUY MY CAR !!!!!!

Hehe I just got a WRX STI last week... I LOVE IT. Almost as fast as a C6 Vette, and handles better. :thumb:

SWEET!! What color? I like the look of those new STIs much better than the previous ones. But I still think they've got some ways to go. Performance is not questionable tho. Congrats!
Just out of curiosity, what made you go with an STI and not an EVO? (I'm sure you get that one a lot  )

wow, if you were here, I know my dealer has a fully loaded 06 model Speed6 (MPS) for $30,000 but since its from last year, you can get a good 9K off of it! I think its a steal, I might be able to get my dad to buy it...

It's the classic World Rally Blue with gold wheels... Wicked fast with a 0-60 time of about 4.6!! I went with the STI over the EVO mostly because I liked the look and interior better. The STI also rides a bit smoother, making it more usable as a daily driver than the EVO, and the performance difference between the cars is so small that in general the difference will be made by the driver, not the car.

Needless to say, I like it a lot :thumb:

I like both STIs and EVOs, and really, it is the driver that makes the difference in those cars and they're both very very sweet and powerful. A detailer friend of mine has a white evo and every time he brings that gorgeous here I just can't help but standing there and admiring the car. I really would have loved both the STI and the EVO, and especially with all the technology they keep cramming in their power-train every year. For me tho, I had a couple of problems. First thing, with the prices on those cars (30G+), I couldn't nearly afford one, especially with the costs ahead of me (especially ERAU :blank:), but I also wanted to get a car that was a compromise between luxury and performance... I also wanted to get something so those who care will know this is a special car, and those who don't, won't. Something subtle enough to slip past a Dunkin' Donuts loaded with handlebar mustaches and mirrored sunglasses without anyone spilling their coffee. :evils: After some new wheels and perhaps a CAI, I should be able to hit 60 in about 5.2 secs... give or take.

Let me know if you're ever gonna take your ride to a track or something, also keep me updated about any mods you perform on your car... and stay safe out there :wink2: .

Are you talking about the Speed3 or the STI marsh?

Yea dude Mustangs are a joke these days... A stock STI or EVO could eat the GT500 for breakfast around the track... If I were after an American performance car with ~500bhp, I would personally get myself a Z06 Corvette for $70K. With a 0-60 under 4 seconds, you can beat a Zonda, a Ferrari 430, or even a Mursielago with it around the track...

nice STi.

I had a 98 2 door STi with a bit of work done to it. (255KW on the dyno)

Australia only got 400 2 doors in total with 200 of those being white and 200 WRC Blue (which mine was.)

Unfortunately it went to buy a house not long after our boy was born.

Maybe one day I'll get another but to be honest I had more fun in my HSV Ute. It wasnt nearly as fast as the STi but it had serious grin value with the sound of a thumping V8 and being able to light the rears up at will.
