A MS Flight Simulator addon company announced this great F/A-18E addon for FSX
This addon supports great features such as realistic 3D cocpkit and highly detailed F/A-18E model.
If there is a bad thing for this addon is FSX does support everything but combat engine.
I hope Fighter OPS to support great details as much as this F/A-18E addon.
Take a look at following link

Those are some mighty pointy hills there Microsoft!!! I thought the terrain was supposed to look better every version!

I think that's something you'll have to adjust in the settings.

I haven't seen pointy hills in FSX yet. 'course I haven't been near Mt Everest or anything

I think the scenery looks ok.

man those were the days to fly aircrew in the USCG. Corrosion musta been a nightmare though lol

And here is a freeware superbug that works fairly well with FSX. Gauges, hud works. Radar even makes like its scanning...not sure it actually works. Think it has more detailed skins, but I just now got it and am still messing around :)

Wonder if they have it in Vandy 1's skin...assuming the F-14 Vandy 1 is now retired.

yes Vandy1 is now at Oceana and has a new ever changing paint job. I think the newest one features VF-31 and VFA(!!!!)-211.
I haven't seen a black hornet yet, though. Anyways, I always thought that only the black Tomcats had the name Vandy and all it's predecessors were called "Black Bunny"

I cannot believe that any man can run that game with such high settings. I envy you.

Are the streets accurate in every city in the world? Or certain areas? Where?

Those are photo-real add-on scenery. One is Megascenery X Hawaii and the other Megascenery X Phoenix. They look great at @1500+ altitude and although as you go lower things start looking not so great, it still looks better then standard.

Also, using these add-ons actually improved performance believe it or not. If you look close, you'll see alot of the buildings are just 2D photos with some 3D buildings spaced around as well. Staying above 1500alt and it's hard to tell they are 2d. Stuff around airports get mostly 3D buildings so when you come in to land things still look great.

I was not too impressed with the Hawaii add-on (and that sucks since I am stationed here and do alot of flying here), but the Phoenix one is just amazing. Many companies are making these photo-real add-on sceneries for FSX. The ones covering the UK look very detailed, although way too expenive for a location I am not too interested in. Anyway, Megascenery plans to do New York next as well as many other places in the US.....think Northern and then Southern California after New York. There are also some freeware ones as well, but I haven't tried any of em yet.

So far, every road I know in real life that I went flying over is generally accurate...or close enough.

Now here is an example of a very well done add-on. They used photo-real as well, but unlike the 2 I got, they edited out alot of stupid crap that messes things up (the two I got, you will see planes and boats as photos..which really ruins it I think ) . Evrybuilding was made 3d as well as boats and planes. Only problem is it covers such a small area.

Looking for kodiak Alaska to get done up in very good detail myself and hopefully Captain Sim will have the C-130 ready for FSX soon and of course the payware superbug that this thread is actually about is on my to get list.
