Hey, that was a cool video. Brought back some ancient memories. Do you guys do a pitch to the peach then land? That is how we use to land. Only did straight-ins on instrument approaches or emergencies.

well you tell me how I do a pitch to the peech and I will land it like that :) I pretty much did a flare landing and landed on the side to sort of give my invisible wingman the other side lol

I am not sure of the numbers. However, you fly down the runway at about 1000'AGL and say 200Ks It is about 300-350 kts in most fighters. At the midway point you make a 60 degree 2 G 180 degree turn. Roll out with the runway on your wing tip. Drop gear, flaps, slow to 80-100kts.

When the runway is at 7:00/4:00 or 45 degrees that is the perch, you roll off, set a decent of about 500fpm and make another 180 rolling out about 200 ft above the runway on air speed and AOA. Re-check gear, and land.

Simple :)

ok so down the runway = downwind
midway = midfield? (when passing the middle of the runway)

sounds like a high perf traffic pattern :p

It is but, that is the standard fighter landing pattern. In TAC we called it the "break" UPT called it the "Pitch". Same, same.

Impressive video! What scenery are you using for the ground?
