Cape to Cairo!

Hi guys. Just wanted to say that I am on my final leg now of a giant Cape Town to Cairo flight in Flight Simulator, in a Cessna Caravan!! Flying with FS Passengers.

I am on my final leg now, and if anybody is interested I will post the logs of my flights (I did many shorter legs over the space of a week or two) for all to see.

Was quite tricky flying through central Africa, what with the war zones and all!

This was my first giant journey in Flight Simulator, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it! I learnt many geographical things that I didn't know before, for instance where exactly the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe are! I'm flying the Bush Pilot mission challenge, and desperately trying to accumulate enough money to buy an ATR-72!!

I used the bog standard Microsoft Grand Caravan, not an add-on. I only now started looking into add-ons for the Caravan, and it seems the FeelThere Grand Caravan Deluxe is probably the best one. If anybody knows of something better please tell me!

Incident Report:

One engine was damaged by small arms fire coming from the ground and ceased to function. The hydraulic system was hit by a ground shot resulting in total loss of all hydraulic systems. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft artillery fire resulting in a massive hull rupture. There was an exceptional pilot on board and despite the dire situation he was able to land the aircraft safely. The Captain has also declared an emergency before landing.

And that's the end of my across Africa trip!

Not exactly sure what happened with the whole Juba/Goma thing. Either I confused the two airports, or maybe I did one flight and forgot about FSPassengers, or maybe I kept crashing at Goma and changed to Juba (which by the way is further south) but whatever, I finished the journey, and besides a few crashes in the war zones (I had like 60% chance of failure and I always got engine failure, which in a single prop aircraft is not good!!!! Just once I managed to glide to a nearby airport and land safely, if not a bit heavily...)
