Hey guys, in an attempt to combat some of the spam we have been getting lately, we have set up a couple of new procedures for new users joining the forums.
From now on, users will be required to have made 2 posts before being able to make new threads. Hopefully this will not only cut down on spam threads, but also on new users coming straight in and making a new "when is this game coming out" thread which we love so much. They'll actually be forced to at least view a couple of threads before making a new one.
The promotion after making the 2 posts can take up to 1 hour, so please be patient. We don't want to see dozens of "why can't I make a new thread" posts. All new users are advised of this rule when joining the forums via automatic PM.
Area 51 members are exempted from this requirement.
