I think I better just say a few things about Condor, the simulator for gliding, I don’t think anyone has posted about it yet. Firstly its one of the best simulators out there, The devs have set out to create a cross country soaring\general gliding simulator and hit the nail on the head.
Flight Model-
Right at the top of the important list is the flight model and so far I have been very impressed with feel of all of the aircraft, in fact it’s the best FM I have ever come across. High speed flutter, spins and flicks are all modelled and are very convincing; I think they may even be dynamic but I am not sure.
Terrain-
The mesh is very good, the textures are not photographic but they don’t need to be. Other scenery files are out there for free downloading, anyway the screen shots will let you decide.
Cockpit-
Very well modelled, full TrackIR™ support is needed though, at the moment its only 2DOF.
User Interface-
10 out of 10 for this, it’s extremely easy to use; allows for easy setup of hardware and options. The flight planning menus are also top notch; I think there are a few screens on the website.
Over all this is one of the best flight sims I have used, and with the up and coming version two including two seat multiplayer etc, the future is very bright. It ranks number 1 in my flight collection since it achieves 100% of the goals the devs wanted and is great fun to use. It would interesting to hear what other people think of it, do any of you guys use this?
