Anyone out there building a cockpit that uses fresnel lenses?------
The company where I bought my first one has gone thru some changes, and now they have a $300 minimum purchase, which means I have to buy two lenses:sad: .....
Can anyone use this size?----

see part #E10378-800, under fresnel lenses
...the lense sells for $168....I'll let my extra go for $150 and I'll also take care of the shipping....
I'll be purhasing the lenses in the next couple of weeks or so....
I think you're gonna love me : here are large fresnels lenses for small prices and extra quality (a lot of buddies used them, so I'm sure they're good).

....I love ya any, buddy, but those lenses are not quite large enough.....The ones I'm after are 650mmx550mm [25"x21"]...good try, though:thumb:
then, did you try those ? 25" for 46$, up to 36 for a little more tahn a hundred $ ?

!!!!!!!!....now I think I REALLY love ya!!!!:lol ...will need to probe a tad deeper to get the specs on those, as i will be using a 19" monitor magnified to 36"... would like to know the focal length, as moving the smaller-than-called-for monitor screen back far enough to fill the magnifier screen might run into focus problems....thanks again....Im chasing this one!!!!:thumb: :thumb:
ok let's hope the glass doesn't break, or the love will be over lol
well, the focal is made for TV's, which are farer from you than computer screens : it means that you won't make a 36" from your 19" but more likely a 23" or something like that.
If you want a big magnifying effect, you will need to have shorter focals, and there, the 3Dlens link will be your friend : you see that 3dlens fresnel lenses are 39cm by 39cm, which means that they have a diagonal of 55cm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your 19" has only a diagonal of 48 cm. So, the 3dlens, which have a very short focal, could do the trick and transform your 19" in a 30" or something.
