View Full Version : Take a look at Flight Simulation X F-16 addon!
As you already know, Microsoft is going to release Flight Simulator X.
Other addons developers are also going to release Flight Simulator X addons too. This is the F-16 addon for Flight Simulator X.
Take a look at it! It looks very cool. Especially, cockpit! I think nothing can't be compared with this addon. Just think what it would be like if Flight Simulator X and combat engineen are combined. Eventhought this is only a F-16 addon, It's fantastic. I wonder if Fighter OPS can be better than this one. Would you show me any screen shot of F-16 or F-16 cockpit if you are on the process to develope? I expect Fighter OPS's cockpit to be better than this addon's or the combination of this addon and Flight Simulator X no matter how long it takes to develop. Well.. too much burden? :red:

kinda hard to fly the jet with just the ICP
...how does a dog fighting mode sounds to you? Guns and Sidewinders only, but at least you can now show you are able to shoot down all your buddies who fly the same aircraft....
Oooooooooh. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. A dogfighting mode! How cutting edge! LoL. These guys need to stick with A to B flying and let FO handle the rough stuff.

Just the FO screenshots look better than this F-16 cockpit, honestly :thumb: The texture is really low-res. Captain Sims puts out much better models in my opinion, and they pour in the details.

I think so. When it is finished, it will work like other Flight Simulator addons.
I guess other instrument will be added and work too. That will be cool. Well.. How about the F-16 3D model? I think that also looks cool. very detailed one I think. I know you guys are on progress with F-16 modeling. I would be delight if you post your F-16 screenshots next time on Area 51. If I am right, you have been on progress with new F-16 model.

man, fighterops is going to change how the world looks at flight sims, or it will define the world "flight sim" , everything else will just be a poor imitation..
now, imagine if other game studios (when F.O becomes a major success in the "Media") "borrowed" the code and developed other theatres of operation, or even other time era's..

Doesn't look any better than Kirk Olson's....and the cockpit doesn't even have a throttle, nothing....quite poor.

My thoughts exactly, tall poppy syndrome maybe?......who knows why humans have to bag out other humans so often - probably the same reason we are always trying to kill each other! :bigeyes:
I think it is looking quite good actually - my question would be why fly MSFS X for combat jets? That is not what it does best...better to just get F4, Lock-on, or FO etc.

problem with F4 and lockon is that you don't have the freddom to fly anywhere you want... alot of these people like flying around their hometown and stuff, we can't do that.... I remember hearding FO we will be able to, but that is not coming out anytime soon so...
there is a F18 also coming out, its VERY impressive, it has very nicely done avionics as far as MSFS can simulate....
I personally like flying around my area (S FL) in cloud 9's phantom because its always fun to fly around my hometown :)

Yeah, just to be clear, my comments were not that this is crap, or anything like it. The screenshot was presented to me and the question asked if the FO cockpits would look as good as that screenshot. My comments were that if my developers presented me anything like what was in that screenshot, they'd be doing it again.

Good point Razor, I would have to agree I enjoy having the New Zealand 75m terrain mesh in FS2004 and buzzing around knowing that the terrain is bang-on correct.
Just the other day actually I thought 'Never been to Stewart Island or flown over Fiordland before, might take my Captain Sim C-130 and have a bit of a sightseeing flight!'
I just much prefer flying F4 for the full systems and environment modelled - would be great if i could combine the two!!:thumb:
