hey guys, well i am currently working on a website that is dedicated to military simming in FS2004 and FSX when it comes out. my question is about file uploading. From what i understand you can upload any freeware file you want as long as there is no selling of it of course. Is there any kind of rules and regs regarding this issue. LIke do i have to get ahold of the designer and get permission. i want to put together the best of the best military aircraft packages and post them for people to download. also if anybody would like to partner up that would be awesome, the hole idea is to host all sorts of military files. Aircraft, scenery, reviews of payware, and flights, ones other people made and the ones that i have made, and maybe a forum, And if possible throw up a server.
thx

almost forgot is there any military fs2004 websites that i dont no of?

I am building a F-16C/D cockpit, have been for over 3 years now, and I fly several Military jets in FS2004, my favorite is airfoundry's F-18 Blue angel, all switches and radios, xponder, all work well with this aircraft, also Captain sim's Mig-21, not as many good Mil A/C on fs2004, but several good pay add ons, just doing a little formation fling in the jets is a rush for me:-)

yeah i know there really isnt thats why i want to put together a site all about the best. Cuase i know im not the only one here that hates it when you download a a/c that looks like it gonna be really awesome and turns out to be total crap, nothing against the designer, cant expect anything for free. i am also building some cold war afb's right now im working on marquettes sawyer afb(now intl) in michigan, check it out. It has a b-52 ready launch pad that goes strait to the runway. the default is kinda cheesy so i am gonna use afcad and try my best to reconsruct it.

Wasn't that Sawyer AFB, I remember they had the F-111's there 20 years ago I Thought they closed or decommisioned it iabout ten years ago, I read somewhere that a private group were trying to show or restore 6 older A/C. It was the Sawyer 6 project. I haven't heard anything else in several years

yes it is sawyer afb, in marquette michigan, well what happen is back somewere in the 50's 60's the us signed a 99 year lease to use it as a afb, they built all sorts of hangers and the awesome ready pad. there was many aircraft that were based there, primarly the b-52's. there was also a fighter squadron that had f-106's, they changed to f-101's later on. i didnt read anything about any f-111's based there but i could be wrong. when the kc-135's came out some of them got based there. while the years went by after the cold war ended. the quadrons moved onto other afb's or they got decomissioned. The last b-52 squad, the 410th, was decomissioned in 1994 and there aircraft eather got scrapped or sent off to other bomber squads. I believe the airport wasnt turned over to marquette till 1995. and just if anybody wanted to know and if they didnt already, the reason the us wanted the base was because it was short flight to russia incase something bad had happened. Once the cold war ended there was no need for it.
