Well, I just finished playing the demo, which surprisingly contains more than the single car/single track/one race demonstration that many demos contain.

Anyway, I think it's a really fun game!!! Of course the emphasis is on fun and certainly not on realism, but it's cool and I like it. Nice graphics too!

One thing I learnt, which can (and I'm sure will) be applied to FO, is that it's not so much HOW the objects look and all (the models in NFS:MW aren't so amazing) but really how they interact with their enivronment, how the light dances off them and how they get damaged etc. That is what really makes it fun.

Anyway, great game by the looks of it, has anybody else played it?

I also played the demo of TOCA Race Driver 2. Also quite cool but I guess you really need steering wheel and pedals to benefit from it (it supports a CLUTCH!! Can you even buy a pedal set with a clutch and gearbox??) Lots of fun doing donuts in a 1960's Jaguar :D

Can anybody recommend to me a realistic racing/driving game that isn't TOO intensive on the graphics but is fun and realistic (without absolutely requiring steering wheel/pedals)?

Live for Speed is rather tricky with keyboard! I gave up on using the keyboard keys for steering so now I use the mouse...

You really need this (http://www.pcgamersblog.com/50226711/omg_logitech_g25_racing_wheel.php) :evils:

LFS looks like the FO of the car simulation world. They had three releases releasing different classes of cars, each time also improving physics and stuff. The graphics looks more than good enough for me, though damage could be way better modelled, and I'd like to see driver injury!! Sometimes the car or objects spin and fly WAY too wildly!! I also get around 100 frames a second all the time on my laptop, which is just great!!

Sometimes the cars seem way too prone to spinning out though. Does anybody here have experience in racing and can comment on that? Especially the F1-type car...the V8 or whatever....it's just impossible to keep in a straight line even if I don't do anything

Playing it without steering wheel is like playing a flightsim without joystick though
