ok, so i installed FS2004 back up recently because i just can:P anyhow, when i launch the game, everything seems fine (the mini image pops up in the midle of your screen), then the screen goes black after a few seconds. Then, instead of taking me to the menu of the game itself, it brings me back to my desktop....anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it?

Snake o boy, sounds like you might have a driver problem, try opening in safe mode and run with limited drivers, if not you may have to go in the MS cofig files and look for codes there, I,ll do a little research on this, will keep you posted

I tried to reconfigure the config files, but still does that. I tried running it in safemode and it still didnt solve the problem...sigh, ill get it somehow!

your resolution is probably set too high
hmmm, not sure, i currently run my resollution at 1280x1024. I run other games perfectly but FS2004 doesnt seem to.

Have you added or updated any software just prior to installing FS2004 Try going to Start/Programs/Microsoft Games/FS2004/Troubleshooting/Reset Default, if that doesn't work Are you running Explorer 7 by chance, there have been some issues with FS2004 and Exp7 If not all I can suggest is to uninstall Fs2004 and reinstall

Tried to reset defaults, didn't do anything; and yes i am currently running IE7. Im guessing since I have tried everything else, this has to be the problem, or so you state. Right now im currently looking to see if microsoft launched a fix for this problem, or if somebody figured out a manual fix...no luck still. If anybody does find a fix for this, it would be greatly appreciated.
