Ah...now I get it...IRIS has pulled the demo version and you have to register to see that a Tomcat is planned but is running very late with no news on release date. Will probably be 30 bucks.

OK , So I went ahead and purchased FD4. Well , I'm somewhat disappointed. The Carrier can be somewhat more detailed , and the aircraft are no better than any freeware ones available on the web. I will admit that the aircraft cockpits are very nice. Overall , I will rate FD4 a 7 out of 10. I previously downloaded Alpha Sims CVN Enterprise Carrier , which is by far , the most awsome carrier available for FS9 to date. My opinion , For the best Carrier Flight Operations , purchase AlphaSims Enterprise , download Dino Cattaneo's freeware F-14B Tomcat , and download 3Wire , you will have a great package.

I briefly considered getting this but wised up. JF18 covers CV ops almost as well and lets you fight with the jet as well. Never understood the point to flying combat jets in FS...you cannot deploy any ordnace afterall so WTF is the point?

Yeah, flying military jets that allow you to pull over 10 g's easily. The flight dynamics on those aircraft are so messed up. I prefer keepen the deck hot with a F/A-18C in Lock-On Modern Air Combat. You know, that sim that was based on military aircraft? The one that blows FS2004 out of the water when it comes to gameplay, realism, graphics, and multiplayer??
