for the last year i have been in the army [and grounded]....had to get back into the virtual skies ..... wanted to build a pit that would fit in the barraks, so it had to be able to fit under my bed during the week.... space was limited...this model i called the FSP-3 [flight simulator project 3] held promise...then i got reassigned to another barraks with different dimensions http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e2/fyterjok/wallbash.gif...had to trash it, but the control seat remains...now awaiting completion of my computer-build, now months overdue [aint it like the government?]....

started with a PVC [love the stuff!] frame---

.. then cut out and pieced-together corrugated cardboard sheeting [i wish i had recorded this] that can be taken apart in 4 pieces [PVC in 4 or 5 tubes] and neatly folded under my bed...

front "windshield" awaited monitor purchase to be finally cut out...

cockpit door was going to be a "delorian-style" hatch as in previously posted SR-1....never got painted

what survives is the control chair, which can be used in fixed-wing and helo configurations....

my "finance officer" has finally cleared funding for the computer-build project, and i should be able to use the control seat early next month...will post final outcome of simulator then....

hey goonybird, nice pit.
and I love your chair! I'm a stick-between-the-legs user, and I was wondering how will I do when Black Shark would be release. I'll try your helo configuration, it's looking simple and it's a very good way to use your HOTAS as a helo HOTAS.

Keep up the good work :thumb:

did helos in MSFS 2004...it allowed me to reverse the throttle...hope Black Shark allows us to do the same :thumb:

i'm back home now, and just now able post these pics......
it took a while to finally build my new machine (specs below)...had to ditch the cockpit shell (above), as you can see space was far more limited in this situation than in the former room...was only able use the chair..here's my setup barraks-style :thumb: ......
