Just a reminder guys, links to illegal files are NOT allowed, if it happens again the person posting the link will be banned.

Just an added comment after taking a bit more of a look at that site, you guys realise that by dealing in pirated material so openly you are only hurting yourselves? This genre is all but dead because of the fact that there are not many people supporting it, if you enjoy flying flight simulators you sould be supporting development teams by buying the products you use, not hurting them by spreading their products as widely as possible. Also it's not very smart to be openly posting about spreading illegal files, particularly when some of those development teams visit this very site and most likely saw your post.

The file that was listed is a game that Novalogic no longer sells or even supports, the guy that made the file was named silver-shot,he did have a site, and to the community's knowledge he either he had contacted Nova and had been given the go ahead to make the file or was one of the original developers, I will check on this. Either way we had been assured that THAT file is ok to have, Nova dropped the support of their flight sims in favor of their FPS sims. I personally had dealings with Eric Milota from Novalogic, and he was one of the original programmers of the game. I do know that he has/had knowledge of the work Silver did. The improvements that were made where also an anti cheat profile that stopped the ufo.exe cheat, and a solid place to get the update for online play.

Now on too hurting the community, I would never purposely do anything that would do such a thing nor openly participate in violating someone's rights. Silver assured us and even showed emails of support of that file and project.

The project failed due to lack of money. Nova no longer sales the game, (search their site it's no longer there) and most of us have moved on to LOMAC, Comanche 4, BF2, or Falcon 4.0.

I am sorry for the issue that this has caused, and will not post the link here. But to be accused of pirating is disturbing. If you like I can send all info I have showing this file is ok with Nova.

As far as supporting development teams buy buying products, I have spent thousands of dollars doing so, and I would be more than happy to send money to help Fighter Ops be developed. Every game on my shelf including the F-22 game is in an original CD with the original packaging. Shoot when Nova mentioned a new flight sim may be possible, we had raised close to 10k to help them. So to look at me and say that I DON'T support a community, is misleading.

In a side note I have contacted Nova to make sure the file is ok, and have disabled the link from our site

He is going to have Mr. Milota call me back but he did mention that as long as you have the original cd, in bad repair or not, that file is ok to download and have. So I guess I need to contact all for now and let them know they need to issue the disclaimer.

For those who have sent questions reguarding the Falcon 4.0 copies I refer too. I own a computer store, all of these cd's are the original Falcon 4.0 AF cd's and are sent as such, I have purchased the full licensed games and those are what I send out. The same goes for all games I send my squad. The only exception has ever been the L3 file, and the afore mentioned reasons for that are above.

Hi Merlin, I appologise for my wording in that case, however I'm sure you can understand how I jumped to that conclusion after seeing a "full game" available for download with no explanation. Even with the explanation you have now given, I'd be reluctant to authorise the posting of links to that file on here as anyone would still be able to download and install that file without having the original CD.

And it's advised to use official websites for infos, the name of the company and copyright have to be mentioned. And be careful with the P2P network you can encounter easly false or pirated copies of softwares.
