Hi all
I am doing the training in Allied Force and are now in the Take-off training.
I found out that the ramp start procedure in the manual sucks so I am workin on my own. Now I wonder if there is some kind of real cold start procedure out there? I am looking for the real thing that real pilots uses. Maybe it is not appliable for me in Falcon but anyway it could be cool to get the real thing. Is there anyone who can help me out here?
Best regards

the pit trainer on LP's site www.lead-pursuit.com (http://www.lead-pursuit.com)
and there is a ramp start trainer which i will find and post in a sec...
Try this

does the job for me.
A guy on C6 created 4 pictures that clearly indicate what you have to do to ramp start the F-16 in AF. You can print them and follow them as you start the jet, each step is numbered.
You can download it here :

Hi All
Thank you very much for your answers. Just after I posted, i found the ramp start flash. Thats great stuff. The Pit trianer I allready had.
Still I am wondering if it is possible to find the real/official F16 start-up procedure?
Well... I am going to leave now. I have to practice take off again :-)
I havent had so much fun in a sim since my days in the FA/18-Intercepter on my Amiga 500.
Talk to you guys later.
Best regards
Smurf :-)
That was a fun sim, especially flying backwards.

Hey Subs
What do you mean with "flying backwards"??
Keep hitting the minus key while at 20000ft, you'll stall, nose will drop and then you'll climb backwards.

He he.. cool
Newer tried that one. But landed the F16 on the carrier I did. Took me a couple of tries and some wrecked machines, but was fun to do.
But I guess my version had a bug because I only got through 6 missions and never further although I had succesfull completed. Cant remember what the mission was about.

I have an old ramp start trainer from Sp4, and I wrote down the procedures. It seems to work in AF but the HSD and HUD son't seem to load after setting INS to NAV.... Is there something else I need to do?
The HUD is switched on by simply turning the brightness level up.(left top dial on the ICP). MFD power switch is to the right, if you follow the instructions on the rampstart trainer I posted a link too it will work.

The last mission involved attacking a Submarine Aircraft carrier. But you were only carrying A/A missiles, to win I shot down the last Mig with cannon and continued to shoot it while it was heading towards the ground. After 5-6 hits I got mission complete, the sub never sank no matter how many times you hit it.

yeah right..... I remember now. I did the same thing.. Killed the migs and then reloaded and headed back to the target. Newer godt a confirmed kill on that one, so I guess it had a bug.

Btw. Subs: Have you ever tried to land the F16 on the carrier?
That was a fun challenge. And i pain in the behind to get the bird of the carrier again.
Yep, I also landed on the road and parked in the malls car park.
