my Mike...

I dont know what happened but i started up my pc and my mike didnt work no more...i had the pc off for 10 minutes and at the time i had used my mike and it worked well and then as i said i rebooted and it just doesnt work. I tried to connect a different mike but that wasnt the problem...may it be the soundcard? I got this nforce sound card on board bla bla but i can still hear stuff so i dont know IF it IS the card...someone help me im a noob!

Unplug the mic, turn your computer off, wait 5 mins, turn your comp on and when windows will load up plug the mic.

I also know that if I change any of the audio settings in BF2 that somehow the "from panel microphone" setting in the audio properties gets ticked, and my mic goes dead. I have to uncheck the setting, and then it works.

ive checked all the settings ....they seem nominal

Maybe try to reinstall sound card drivers or update them?
