Sorry to hear that Hacker! Get well soon buddy!

don't run away from the hospital 2nd day after the surgery like I did! :) Trust me those guys know what they do! If I knew what comes after I would have listened what they say! LOL

On the other hand, hospitals aren't that bad....you know there are nurses in hospitals.......yummy! LOL

I hope you are better soon!

I hope the nurses are spending much time with you (in the hospital, and when you are back from hospital).

Thanks dudes. Unfortunately, no "naughty nurses" to report...the surgery was in the AF's big hospital down at Lackland AFB, so they were 'all business' unfortunately, heh heh.

Right now I'm just dealing with a super-sore throat, a tough time talking for any period of time, and a tough time swallowing food/liquid.

All is well...I'm just taking it eeeeeasy at home over the next week.

Gotta get better, so I can go out to the Reno Air Races next weekend!

Thanks again for your encouragement, guys.

The Teamspeak server is one of the Area 51 advantages. It is available for gaming, chats with the developers, and special guest slots where we have a pilot or expert in some area of military aviation come in for a Q&A session.

Redstormer

I am a pritty good cook. But I don't cook very often.

By the way ever tried to make a hole in melon and stuck the bottle of Vodka in it for a long period. Than carve the melon in pieces and: enjoy. :thumb:

Those two bottles of Vodka I have given away a few years ago to some friends after they studied at Moscow University. They learned drinking there.

Whenever we went eating in a restaurant, or we had food delivered at the front gate, Cevapcici and mixed grill were my 2 favorites!!

Ending it with a couple of Slivovic :thumb:

All missions were with my Mechanised Infantry Unit.

'93 Bosnia Vitez (together with a UK unit, I believe the "Coldstream Guards") (SAW gunner)
'95 Baranja (Baransko Petrovo Selo) (Milan ATGM)
'97 Baranja (Udvar, near hongarian border) (Milan ATGM + M-113/ AIFV driver)
'2000 and '02 Leposavic Kosovo (Milan ATGM and company 2IC+ CO M-113/ AIFV/ Jeep/ truck driver/ mechanic.)

Missions lasting about 4-5 months each.

By the way, how is Hacker doing now?

ROFL, that was the reason for making this thread.

The other items were also fun to read!!

Dutch speciality (food) will be "stroopwafels" (=cookie) or "bitterballen" and "kroketten". These two last items are going to be deep fried.

And of course Heineken beer. Many people love it (except IMHO the Belgians and the Germans I wonder why that is :wink2:)

Because us germans have the best beer on the planet. I personally like Heineken, i can drink it like water but my favorite is still Becks and Warsteiner!
Thats what you come to germany for...sausages and...beer...
