I this thread http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3098 i got some help regarding my stick, throttle and rudder controls. i'm fairly sure i'm going to go with the beta innovations plasma v2 and as it happens this allows alot of pot axis (more than enough). So my question is... does LOMAC support dual split throlle - i was thinking that if it does i will modify my attack throttle by cutting along the groove that is molded in to make it look like it is a dual throttle, then strengthen each throttle arm, and put a new pot to take the second throttle, perhaps also add a few more buttons (to make it a kind of F-15 throttle replica cause it has a similar shape.)

so my question is in there somewhere, hope someone can answer it.

Yes you can assign an axis to left thrust and one to right thrust. I was using the Suncom F-15 HOTAS for a while and it was great having the split throttle.

Yeah my x-45 tried to use that when I first got it, I reassigned the 2nd engine to just one throttle. I'll be making a Hornet split throttle using an x-45 later on. Lockons multicontroller support is brilliant.

I'm pretty sure that is their intention.

Sweet so where can i get the switches from? (does dicksmiths [for those fellow australians] have hat switches and self centering sliding switches etc) is there a website to buy replacement thrustmaster parts?

Buy an old x-45 off e-bay and use the switches and pots off it is one possibility. Or you can try CH as they sell good quality switches and pots or try here

can you buy off these guys SUBS17 http://www.ultra-msi.com/expertise/index.html ?

I need their mini joystick for the F-15 target designator and i'd like the thumb wheel for the antena elevation little finger control on the right throttle grip.

I'll check out CH as well...

Thanks

To be honest I don't know but I am interested in buying a hornet split throttle off them or at least the mould of one. Another place to look is ch products as they sell components as well as sticks.

Well mate i dont think you will be buying annything off them soon unless you have a few zero's too your name...
I e-mailed them about the F-15 throttle they make, thinking i wouldnt be able to afford it anyway expecting something like $5000. I just got a reply........that exact F-15 throttle costs.......$30,000 !

they asked if i was still intrested i said mabee in ten to twenty years of hard saving time. People take out car loans less than that!

Thats what i said " whats it made from...platnum? " in my reply LOL

yep i will make my own. And nots that its a huge problem cause it's pretty close but the attack throttle i just realised if you look closely does slope down towards the left like in the F-15 however relitive to the top the F-15 thottle sides are verticle and the attack throttle are at 90'

hope this makes sense...it's going ahead anyway.
