Secondly, sorry if this has already benn braught up somewhere else but i cant be bothered finding it. Is it ever going to be possible to make new cockpits etc I know we can replace the skins of a plane but the pit stays the same, when can we make our own pits.
sorry again if its already said
It is not currently possible to make new cockpits in Lock On. Only ED (the devs) have power on this. And it should remain like that unless they decide to release their source code wich is very unlikely to happen.
You can get more detailed and better pits have a look at lockonskins or lomacfiles. You need loman too install them.

First off ... truely sorry buckshot didn't mean to upset annyone
secondly ... yeah i know about the cokpit mods ive had loman for a while and have heaps of those updates on right now. It sucks they wont let us, unless of course that means they are planning more aircraft for addon
Thats whats happening but they are not adding them to Lockon, they are instead making a whole new flight sim. (last addon for lockon is Ka50)

yeah that sucks but cause it means i have to buy a whole new game to fly the aircraft everyone wants to fly and should have been included on initial release. i do hope fighter ops makes it's first release good...a question regarding this
after buying the initial release do we then buy expansion packs or are they free releases?
yeah that sucks but cause it means i have to buy a whole new game to fly the aircraft everyone wants to fly and should have been included on initial release. They can not release their source code for the simple reason that this is what makes them live and earn money! Making a cockpit and a whole modern aircraft flyable is not as easy as you seem to pretend. If they would have added let's say a viper or a hornet to the game, it would probably not even be out yet.
after buying the initial release do we then buy expansion packs or are they free releases? From what I have read here, you will have to buy the major release and then you will get free patches and small addons throughout the year. But you will have to pay every year for the new major releases that will probably include new flyable aircrafts. That is quite understandable since these guys need a constant flow of money to continue their work on a long term.

If you read what they are developing you won't be disappointed, imagine every flyable with advanced flight model for a start. And full avionics modelling.
