NATO VIRTUAL AIR COALITION
NVAC (NATO VIRTUAL AIR COALITION) is a career based Virtual wing that is dedicated to professional online flying and excellence above all. We combine two of the most intense flight simulators, Flight Simulator 2004 and Falcon 4 to create a Real World Training and Transitional combat environment.
NVAC pilot candidates begin with introductory flight training in FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004 (IFT). In IFT, instructors provide flight instruction to pilot candidates who must complete requirements for the academics needed for NVACUPT.
NVAC-UPT (Undergraduate Pilot Training) is located at VANCE AFB, OK. The completion of this course and time frame is based on the individual student’s availability and effort applied. Students learn with, and are taught by, NVAC officers and officers from various air forces of our European allies of NVAC. Student pilots first fly the T-37 mastering contact, instrument, low-level and formation flying. Next, they strap on the supersonic T-38 or T-1 Jay Hawk and based on your track, and continue building the skills necessary to become a fighter or Heavy Pilot.
After the primary phase of NVACUPT, student pilots elect one of several advanced training tracks based on requested Aircraft track. At this Stage students will be transitioning to NVAC Falcon 4 where they will begin Formal training on their aircraft. Ferry Flights and Transition flights will still be conducted in Flight simulator but all combat flights will be conducted in the NVAC Falcon install.
Prospective airlift and tanker pilots are assigned to the airlift/tanker track and train in the T-1 Jay hawk at Vance AFB, OK. Student pilots headed for bomber or fighter assignments are assigned to the bomber/fighter track and train in the T-38 Talon at Vance. Students assigned to the multi-engine turboprop track fly the T-44 turboprop trainers at NAS Corpus Christi, TX, and will eventually fly the C-130 Hercules.
NVAC also provides follow-on training for most NVAC in their assigned aircraft. Pilots assigned to fighter aircraft complete the introduction to fighter fundamentals course in the F-5, and then move on to train in either the A-10 at Davis Monthan, AZ, F-15 Eagle at Tyndall AFB, FL, F-15E at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC or the F-16 Fighting Falcon at Luke AFB, AZ. Altus AFB, OK, hosts training for pilots assigned to C-5 Galaxy, C-141 Starlifter, KC-135 Stratotanker or C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Students at Randolph complete training in the T-43A and move to follow-on assignments in transport and tanker aircraft such as the C-130 and KC-135.
After Formal Training all pilot will then be assigned to one of the Many NVAC Wings and Squadrons listed under the NVAC Air Command. Once assigned the squadron that you have been assigned to will be responsible for specialized training.
ACC-(AIR COMBAT COMMAND) FIGHTER-BOMBERS- 15hrs a month Minimum Flight Time
MAC-(MOBIL AIR COMMAND) AIRLIFT-15hrs a month Minimum Flight Time
NAG-(NATO AIR GUARD) FIGHTER-BOMBER-AIR LIFT-10 hrs a month Minimum Flight Time
NR-(NATO RESERVE) FIGHTER-BOMBER-AIR LIFT-5 hrs a month Minimum Flight Time
Once you have been assigned to a squadron you must remain with that squadron and the aircraft chosen for a minimum of 3 months before transitioning to a new squad and aircraft. In the even of a transition, if you have chosen a new aircraft, then you must return to Training squadron for formal training in that aircraft.
Please undestand that all applicants are considered, but not all applicatants are selected.
We currently fly Flight Sim for basic training, and FF3/Cobra1.1.1 We are currently testing Falcon 4 Allied Force, and waiting for FO.
