Thanx for the Heads-Up dude............ :thumb:
If you prefer BitTorrent, you can download it from here :

I should be getting it in about an hour :bounce:
Let us know how it goes, I'm keen to hear any feedback on Jet/Heli performance. I'll be hopefully getting the full version when it comes out.
downloaded from #3 at gamespot... after a couple of hours into the night I found that the file was corrupted, so I started another download, and went to bed. I woke up full with expectations, only to find out that Battlefield 2 does not support any GeForce 4 video card... and a black screen waited on me, practicly saying, "you dumb ass, go get a new video card, 'cause you're going nowhere with what you have"... well well... looks like there will be no BF 2 on me... 'till I get a new video card, wich I planned to buy after a new joystick and a TrackIR 3, and ofcourse, after I won the lottery, 'cause money for all this does not exist in my pockets. Ah, well.
Any of you who actually tried this beauty yet?
G force 4, hell I ditched mine soon as I got lockon.

I am runnin it.......its pretty good :thumb: Need to get used to controls and gameplay..............my 9600XT is hangin in there
Playin with all details @ Max @ 4 FSAA @ 1024 x 768 @ 75Hz
Yep it's quite cool. I'm getting not too bad with the Blackhawk and the Cobra. And I'm getting the touch with the JSF too lol. At least you can take off vertically :thumb:
But it's nowhere near reality in terms of flight models and avionics. All you have is a very basic HUD and an MFD view for guided missiles. And you can pull 9Gs for as long as you want without any kind of blackout nor stalls.
But that's what I was expecting so it's still fun!
Where did you find AC in that demo? I just get one map that does not have any AC at all.
That's because you're probably playing in single player wich is limited to 16 players and land only vehicles. When you play in multiplayer you have access to a 32 player map wich is quite bigger than the single player one. In that map, the US get a spawn point on an aircraft carrier located about a kilometer from the shore. And on that carrier are 2 F-35 and 2 choppers.
You can get this map in single player ONLY IF you create a local LAN game. But if you don't have a LAN and another person to play with, you will be all alone on the map, there is no way to add bots. It can still be useful for practicing those aircrafts though. That's what I did :wink2:
Thank you! Just got done doing that very thing you said. The Cobra is a fickle thing. The flight model is tough. I got my Cougar working with it but the senativity is still way to high.
Thank you!

I'm having problems with BF2. It won't start...
anyone else experienced such a thing?
Running on GF6600GT, drivers 77.30, supplied with the game.
Do you get any error message?
my poor little FX5200 copes OK with all of the details turned down
apart from that, the AI is quite good in the single player :thumb:

Hi,
I just loaded up the BF2 demo for the first time.
I got online. Fun but crazy. Visibility seems to be about 1 mile - any way to change that?
Also, what is the map in the right corner supposed to show? I don't ever seem to see enemy aircraft there. How do I find the enemy jets? :)
How do I bomb enemy locations?
Just need some general instructions for the demo - are they around?
Thanks,
Juggernaut
u dont show any enemies on the mini-map unless there is a UAV up (which i am not sure u can do in the demo.) just look out for them visually and if you are looking for things to bomb go to the lsat flag the enemy just took and you will usually find enemies spawning there.
:thumb:
(ps just the the full game .... you know you want to!)

Hi. Thanks for the info.
Another question. How do I aim the bombs? Is there one way to release only 1 at a time?
Thanks,

Hello, there is a new add-on coming for BF2. It includes the Special Ops.
http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/editorial.jsp?src=expansion_071405&ncc=1
I am myself a great advocate of special operations. When they are well preformed, with good intell, they give the "enemy" a psychological blow and they also frighten the enemy for more of these actions. So they have to commit more troops in the inland.
Always a great   for the Special Forces.
and especially for :wink2:
