Looks good. During my education I had to do a C-check on one of the BAF C-130's. I can asure you the pit looks in RL more messy and realy tight hehehe. But nevertheless, a nice workhorse with a good reputation...

This brings back memories! BTW is it too much to ask for a sim where I can walk inside the herc and jump out of it?
I heard that America's Army has static line jump, how well is it implemented? Most FPS missions with a parachute jump start with you hanging from your canopy (Delta force) or having already landed (MoH).

That's one of the few things I like about Joint Operations:Escalation. It's a hoot to jump out of a chinook and steer your chute to the LZ.

Also, jumping dirt bikes over burms keeps me entertained nicely...there are some fun things in it, but when it comes to depth of coop multiplay, it's not great. Good certainly, but not great like Ghost Recon or something...

What would be even neater would be to allow the pilots to jump out the back and leave everyone else behind. :evils: Sorry, that is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw those images.

What's that? I have to check it out.

Actually there was a tradition in RAF that called for a crewmember of the Herc to jumb along with the SAS they droped (not in battle of course). At one instance the whole crew has been through it except for the pilot. So he gave the controls to the co-pilot and jumped! The headquarters heard about it, hell broke loose and the tradition was dropped...

Very interesting. First time I have heard that one. Of course it isn't quite as interesting as both the pilot and co-pilot jumping out together...

So what happened to the pilot. He find himself riding a desk for six months?

I don't remember. I've read it in an aviation magazine that I haven't kept.

Now imagine doing that in FO with all the FPS cabbages in the back, suddenly the FO pilot jumps out leaving a platoon of quake playing FPS guys stuck trying to figure out the controls. Kind of reminds me of the FOO Fighters song learning to fly.(hope they find the landing procedures card lol)

Many Herc pilots share your attitude about the cabbages in the back. Some even get into a make-the-paratroopers-throw-up competition...

Kinda makes you wish they did jump out...

Shouldn't be too hard since they're packed in there like sheep. Talking of cabbages a friend of mine on corps day placed an entire parade of brussel sprouts on the grunts parade ground led by 2 cabbages the CO and RSM. The next mourning the infantry arrived and their boss wasn't happy.

First post and I'm nit picking already :red:

But I really like C-130s, fly about 60 hours a month on them as a loadmaster/sensor operator/"can you bring me my box lunch please" .

These pics are very nice, the interior looks GREAT, but where are the duel rails? Sure, duel rails can be removed if we needed to move special vehicles where the extra couple feet may be needed, but I see that this plane still has rollers installed. Rollers are used to roll pallets onto the plane, duel rails are used to lock those pallets in place. Minor detail, but if you're gonna have rollers on the plane, always have duel rails as well. We may fly without rollers, if we know we'll be picking up a vehicle or something that has wheels and we can winch it on and that we don't need to load any palletized cargo, but we pretty much never configure to have rollers but no duel rails. That just doesn't make any sense.

Heres a link to a c130 pic of a duel rail (http://www.echo-models.net/15Wing.jpg/C-130Belge.jpg/C130-1915150.JPG)

You should give Captain Sim a buzz and ask him.

The only problem you get shot b4 you hit the ground because joint ops dosent let you pull your own chute.

But then so does real life...

Speaking of cabbages, I dug this pic out:

Yeah, i got Joint Ops and i dont play it because too many cheaters are around! I hate the fact too that you cant open the Parachute yourself, also what i hate is that you have too many night missions or saying...there are only night missions where it actually gets exciting! My favorite map is still twin islands, i loved the beta demo! How about implementing HALO jumps?
