Ow man look at those clouds and the reflection of the planes in the water.... it is awesome!!
I have always been jealous at all the options FS has, especially the realtime weather wich can be updated online. This could make missions different everytime you fly. Imagine that in FO!!

Hey bud,
Pick up that B767 from LevelD.
I bought it and it is absolutely awesome in avionics, GFX, cockpit,......you name it
Best,

rjetster what are your specs?

Hey Bud,
I am really not certain what the specs are from the systems that are to blame for these pictures…They are pictures I have composed over time off the net…Just like to share.

Oh I see... I thought those are your shots. I just wonder what comp you need to have to obtain these kind of graphics.
Cheers!

Maybe we are really flying planes in an alternate universe? If so I have a lot of aplogizing to do.
wow .. those shots are amazing.
do you know if they have been photoshop'd at all? almost look too good to be straight from the game!
the Citation X is a beast of a plane.
(hehe i've had a 747-400 up to 0.91M too)
What sim are the pictures from? I don't recall FS having mirrored reflections in the water.

Those are very good touch ups. However there's no water reflection like those shown in FS2004. I have a pretty powerful computer with all graphic settings on max and can't get those kind of shots. The reflections like that aren't built into FS2004...yet.
Those clouds in that one shot dont look like the digital clouds in FS2004 (and FS clouds are pretty nice), they look too real.
Some of the shots like the first Cessna look like it's out of the game. And the 747 looks like it's from the game but with megascenery added.
What these look like are 3d composite shots that a 3d designer created in something like 3DS max or something, and not from the actual FS2004.
Just my thoughts however, nice pics. If only FS2004 did look that good. And I think it will in due time, perhaps with the new FS10 on the horizon.
They're most certainly photoshopped. I'm running FS9 with all the sliders to the max, and no way I'm getting reflections on the runway. Check these guys out if you like "beautified" screenshots:

Hi all.. My first post here !
I've spent countless hours on MFS9 (2004) and as far as I can tell you guys, at least half of those pictures are edited. Sorry to kill it for you but MFS, at least as far as I've seen, does not look like that.
- The picture of the 737 (that looks like PMDG's 737) was edited. FS does not have any reflections on the ground like that. Same with the MD, and the DC-10.
- The clouds on the Citation X picture are also Photoshoped. The clouds look like a flat picture to me, and I cant find any dimensions into them. Personally, I think MFS's clouds are nicer than that; look at other pictures to see what I mean.
Now for the add-ons.
- The scenery on the Beech Baron picture is an add on. Original FS scenery does not look that good. I'm uncertain about the scenery on the 747 picture.
One screenshot I'm really liking however, is the C-172 picture, which is by the way straight out of MFS. The skin on the Cessna though is an add-on.

The clouds behind the Cessna Citation is a photograph, just placed behind everything and blended in. Good blending job however. I think that most of these or at least some of these are done at that screen shot art siteScreen Shot Art (http://www.screenshotart.com/)
Affter visiting the above site, It dawned on me that The pics that started this thread aren't meant to represent what the sim actually looks like but are done as enhancements by talented digital artists using airccraft from flight simulator and other flight programs as the base of their composites. Check out the place, there are some very nice comps in there.
I think that was what was intended as the beginning of this thread, not to say "hey look at these screenshots direct from fs2004." Just that he said "Hey, here's some of my favorite pics." period. They are screenshots, in a sorts, but with heavy touch up and refinement to make art our of them. My thumbs up, thanks Jarn for the link to the screenshotart site. :thumb:

Those are QUITE exquisite!!!! absolutely wonderful :thumb:
What I would love to do, and will do sometime when I have the time, is do this style of art and then have a giclee done of it on canvas and hang it. Some traditional artists may think of this style as an easy way out or amature compared to traditional tube and paint brush, but I beg to differ. It takes quite a bit of skill to pull off a nice piece of "digital" art like that. I see no difference, with regards to skill, between traditional and digital, both require skill to do and a sense of artistry. Both take skills in creating a composition. If there is any sort of easy work it would be the fact that the digital painter may or may not actually draw with a pencil, from scratch. But even traditional artists use photos and models to draw from and the digital artist uses flight simulations "models" to pose their pieces.
Excellent!
