This question was brought up in the virtual wing I fly with.

Say you're in a 4 ship flight. Do all four pilots stay on 1 comm channel to communicate with each other or are they broken up into elements (1st element in one channel, second element in a different channel). From everything I've read/seen, they seem to stay in 1 channel per flight.

Thanks Haole! =)

If the four ship is going in to accomplish the same task then they usually stay on the same channels (UHF/VHF) to communicate. UHF is primarily ATC while VHF is primarily inter-flight. If needed, each element may "push" to another channel to prevent cluttering up the radios.
So in short...you are normally all on the same channel.
