I put this up in Frugals but thought some of you guys here might want to look into this.

They are coming into my area in June and I already have my ticket to fly. I am going to do the hour flight with acrobatics. No big meal that day. When I talked to them they said that they would do just about any manuver that the plane could handle. Plus I get a tape of it. :bounce:

Actually, you are better off having a small meal than not eating at all.
I was a bit weird with Aerobatics, when I started flying I was having trouble with airsickness doing the flights out to the MOA and back, especially over the mountains, once we got into the aerobatic manouvers I was fine, loved it.
Bring a plastic bag just in case, you never know. Its real embarassing when you have no where to put the vomit but the inside of your flight suit.
Have fun

I got to fly with those guys a couple of years ago and it was a real blast. I even got them to fly me over my office and get a shot of it for the video.

Maybe I can have him open the glass and go inverted should the need arise. Bombing run of a new style.
You know a friend of mine was a ground crew man in the UK back when they had Venoms in service. In his previous job he worked on the oil rigs in the Atlantic so he used to laugh at the pilots when they came back with vomit in their flight bags. On one particular day after he had repaired a Venom the pilot asked him if it was ready and after saying yes he got invited to go for a test flight. Well the moment they were off the ground, the pilot put the aircraft into some g and alot of roll and more g and more roll and a bit of negative g and a bit more roll. After a few seconds of course the ground crewman threw up- so a bit 0 g and a little manouvering in a dive this guy put the vomit right above the ground crewman, and then some positive g SPLASH. Dude he was covered in vomit, after that the pilot put her into some low level stuff above a lake and then cruised back to base. Upon landing everyone in the Airfield turned up to see how it had gone. Well you can guess he never gave the pilots too much flack after that.

A well deserved reward for bad behavior! No one wants to get sick but it does happen. I am lucky in that after three trips to Texas Air Aces, one flight with North American Top Gun and getting my private pilot ticket, I have yet to get air sick...knock on wood :wink2:
Not getting drunk the night before helps

You bet!
The last time i went flying, was with a canadian bush-pilot who threw the plane all over the place! But i was too concerned with keeping myself from throwing up - it took 100% of my attention, -the pilot would of remembered the expression on my face that day!
BTW, at 4am that morning i woke up with an empty bottle of vodka in my mid-rif, looked about me to see someone asleep on the pool table, and a few others lying around the room. I thought "Oh shit , 3hours till my flight" removed the bottle and got back to sleep.:alcohol:
It was HARD

Where do you fly Buckshot? I'm going to be doing some out at Redcliffe as soon as my logbook arrives from the UK.

Most of my flying was with the RAAF PSA in Tamworth, (CT-4's and CAP-10's). I've flown out of Redcliffe once, that was a long time ago, nice and quiet strip (at least it was, the area has built up a bit since then, so might be a bit busier there now), the other place I've done a bit of flying out of in Brisbane is Archerfield, obviously much busier there.
Haven't done any private flying in a long time though, just too expensive.

Boy, that's tempting...
400 bucks for a half hour of aerobatics in a muscular texan type plane with a tape and front seat flying...end of June 2005 in Wichita KS...hmmmmmmm
