A highly controversial and contentious issue. I think everyone knows of my outspoken viewpoints there!

Hi Ironman,

Could you do a search on the forums sir.

But simple and short, pdf on the disk, big manual can be bought in binder so that everytime there are updates you only have to take out the old ones to replace the new ones, or simply add the new ones, whatever appropriate at that stage.

No idea on prices and details on "how to" yet.
We have several idea's but noot completely worked out yet.
We're still far from that.

Hope this helps,

Best,

Dirk

To be fair, the FO business model is really only viable if a hardbound manual is NOT included "free". The FO way of doing things is loooong overdue to cut out the idiot unlettered and unvisioned corporate bean counters.

PDF manual will be juuust fine IMHO.

Perhaps an enterprising Area-51 member could strike a deal with the FO team to produce an "officially endorsed" bound manual along the same lines as the LOMAC one? I'd buy one.

Although a good idea I think it much better that the company making the game produce the manual, there are already plans for a full manual to be available along the lines of the LOMAC one. The idea is for a binder so that as new editions of Fighterops are produced, the pages can be swapped out, or new ones added in.

If the upfront costs are an issue, I would recomend to have the manual printed as a "book on demand". The setup costs are quite low, your book gets an ISBN and can be ordered via Amazon and many other channels. Each time someone orders a copy of the book, it is individually printed on digital printing machines. Brave new publishing-world!

If you need more info on that, let me know and I will tell you! :wink2:
