Hey Haole, short question: is it possible to recover the F-16 form a deep stall w/out using the MPO switch?

Hi RobViper,

Most of the time the F-16 will recover itself from the stall. If you get to the point where you have to start rocking the jet then you have to engage the MPO switch to get maximum elevator effectiveness to get the nose down to break the stall.
I hope that nice long run on sentence made sense!

Cheers!

I was messing with F4 this evening and managed to get into an inverted flat spin. Using BMS 2.0, the latest data updates, and Raptor's new FMs.

I had to work at it, using a recent post on Frugals as the clue as to how to get that to happen.

I've heard that it's almost impossible to put an F16 into a spin, or a flat spin.

Is that true? Is there any way out of it except the yellow handle? If so, what's the procedure?

How about an inverted spin? Thats the meanest of the lot I think, is there anyway to recover from such a manouvre with an F-16?

cheers

Exactly!,
The F-16 is programed with inherent instability correction software. You realy can't put the Falcon into a spin unless the computer is damaged, or the flight correction system is disabled. Just my 2 cents.
