Hi,
will there be support for the upcoming dual-core cpu's? I read in an article, that software has to support dual-cores, if they will take advantage of it. When not, the software will run on a 4500+ rated dual-core slower than on an actual 3800+ rated single-core cpu. Right?

Its possible there might be a little overhead if your running software on a dual core that isnt optimised for it but not that much. Its basically the same thing as running on a dual cpu system. You just dont get the added benefit of utilising the second core or cpu.

The current plans certainly will take advantage of dual cpu's, hyperthreading, and dual core, in fact the plans are to go a lot further than that, but not going to say any more than that at this point :wink2: , we may be able to go into more detail on the Area 51 forums in a few months.

Don't forget 64 bit paths for us with those cool Athlons!

Edit: Just realized that my sig needs updating.
