Still, I disagree with Pacman's "bullshit" statement (for what concerns normal "worried" posts - not what some Frugal's members wrote there). I for my side were worried and I think g2i would be doing good in stopping rumors by giving information to us. I don't ask you to do this on Frugals, but it would have been great if there would have been any official statement here on the FO forum. No - this is no shit stirring, just my oppinion and that of many of those that have not posted here yet, but that have been in contact with me today via Email.

We cannot make further announcements until all of the details are cleared up. I can tell you that you will understand once it all comes out that this was done in the best interest of the project, and all of it's contributers. We have already talked about the Area 51 guys, and no matter what happens, you guys will be taken care of, even if it means costing us money.

It truly is sad to see these things go on. I dont know the whole story but it seems that once again positions involving money and or power are exploited for ones own good. A common interest and goal is trying to be persued and it only takes one to ruin it. It truly upsets me to see things like this happen time and time again. It runs so prevalent in our society where individuals in business positions forget about the stakeholders and only care about lining their wallets, i.e. Enron, the Presidency, etc. etc. etc. Ethics are put aside for ones own interests. If there was anyway I could assist in righting the wrongs and getting things back on track, I would gladly do it. I sincerely hope the goals of this project do not stray and this set-back stays simply a set-back. I wish for all those who have business and leadership positions in this company the best and urge them not to forget the stakeholders involved. As they say in the movies, keep your mission and your men straight and hopefully the dream of this project will be achieved and never die.

The stakeholders, contributers, and the simming community were exactly the reasons this move was made. As Rjetster said above, it's just a little hiccup, but it will be much better for all once this is all sorted out.

Everyones best bet is to just fire up Falcon, Lock On, or IL2... whatever sim of choice you own... and have some fun. Sitting on forums and reading all the rumors will only make the anxieties worse.
Do not worry... things will work out. As was said by the big dogs a page before this one, everyone will be taken care of regardless as to what happens.
So, no worries. Just hang out and wait for the news and have some fun in the mean time.
Maybe now would be a good time for someone to orginize a little tournement in Lock On or IL-2 or something for members of the forum to play with to get their minds off this junk. Shrug.

Carrier Landings in LOMAC are challenging enough. Im lucky if I successfully land 1 out of 3 tries. lol
Bottom line is, if there are enough people, which there seams to be, that want to make this sim happen, it will. It just takes time. That is something we should all be willing to give a little more of sometimes.
A game of Lock On or Pacific Fighters would be an awesome idea. I have just been playing a little PF, it is a little too easy to land in my opinion, but it could be fun getting a few people together for some carrier landings. I've gotta figure out how to get the carrier really rocking on the sea. Or carrier landings and refueling in Lock On.

Guys Please don't read too far into things. Be assured all the work related to fighterops project is still comming along as planned. All departments are still putting countless hours of work in. The demo will be availible when it's ready not before. There is no exact dates, projections or promises at this stage.
We are all putting our best effort in getting the demo to you all. But we arn't going to sacrifice quality to get it to you earlier.
please be patient.
Again be assured no work efforts have dropped we are definately full steam

As usual there'll be nothing left for us to lean back and wait for someone to clearify this affair(?). Let me put it this way ;) : after all that I've seen so far in this community I am really curiously awaiting your announced announcement. I do hope it will prove you right and those "pure speculations" wrong, but I cannot build my own opinion either way before knowing more. Mind, delaying this announced announcement like we've seen too many times before could be taken as some sort of reply just as well ;) .

As for the rest, who cares! Companies change management all the time. Many companies have it in their by laws to ensure the CEO is changed every X years. Management changes are nothing new. All that matters is that there will still be a Fighter Ops and it is the same team working on it. Nothing has changed.

As i said before guys all work is going ahead as planned. Please and don't worry. Nothing has changed. No news is good news, most of the time. I assure you the project is on track and is definately staying on track. As charlie said companies have management changes all the time and they are nothing new. If the project was affected in anyway, i'm sure the fighterops management would let everyone know.
It eventually will come out in the wash when the people in the hot seats are ready. At the moment the rest of team is focus on the huge task at hand. Creating the Flight Sim you all desire.

All that matters (to me, at least! ) is not whether or not there will ever be a new fighter jet flight sim.

Do you know whether Claude is/was really helping FO-development to get along - or probably happened to be blocking it? Does any of us know whether Claude is still CO, for that matter? If not, why not, and how did it happen... not yet to be answered, but later, remember.
"Pure speculation", I know - but until the facts will get known I'll be wondering just like anybody else, sure, but (at least try to) not form an opinion, yet. We'll either have more info (real info, then) in some days, or we won't be given (clear) enough facts, probably - we'll see, then.
BTW, if Claude really should want to tell whatever to whomever, he could as well (ab)use any of the boards known to the comminity anyway. He didn't post anything, at least AFAIK (which ain't much). Yes, I know they were temporarily, but they arent now. I agree with you that everyone needs to just sit back and relax and have a good time as always. Dont get all bent out of shape and start making assumptions about everything. FO is continuing to move ahead on schedule as always.

Fine... You got me on the first part of my post, I did clearly state the I thought banning Kiwi was a shitty thing to do.
Here is my "spin control"....
I try to be as nice and professional as I can possibly be when it comes to the Falcon Community and forums. At times my feathers get ruffled and I speak before I should, but I then I apologize for my actions.
I am 100% in agreement that a person and his/her feelings should come before sims, money, social status or whatever else the case may be. I will always do my best to treat people as fair as I can.
HOWEVER...I expect the exact same respect in return and will not tolerate actions that show disrespect to me, our team or the community. I have NEVER banned a person from a forum and do not want to. I love hearing people's opinions even when I disagree with what they may say. I can always agree to disagree.
But when people assume that they know everything and make comments that are inappropriate and bring our forums down I take it personally. So therefore I guess this can be considered my "warning shot". This is not a dirty threat or anything like that. I just want to see a clean and fun forum for all of our visitors and members. I dont want to ban ANYONE, but I will if I have to in order to keep our forums respectful.

An odd statement, especially following on the heels of a statement by the VP of Engineering at FO.
Claude and Katz were banned for good reasong for the protection of the project. We cannot make further announcements until all of the details are cleared up.

The “BS” being shoveled on Frugal’s by certain people is just that….Bullshit. Their only goal in life is to put people down and stir shit up. I have warned one of them for the last time and now the gloves are off.
Again an odd statement. Although on its face it appears reasonable (in an unreasonable way), it smacks of some words penned long ago: "Methinks thou dost protest too much."
See above if one is not convinced that the "BS" is not "BS."
There are also a few management changes that I'm sure everyone will be happy with (including the people that the changes are being made with).
Yet another odd statement. Whilst I've yet to be banned from a forum, I cannot say that I can conceive of a situation in which I'd be happy with such a consequence.
We are making some organizational changes that will provide increased benefits across several different platforms. Once all of these are completed we'll have more resources to draw from for the Fighter Ops project. This will give us more production efficiencies and provide for a quicker project completion cycle.
Does banning someone then reinstating them reset the forum or something and cause a greater efficiency with forum operation?
