I hope the mouse driver for FO will be compatible with touchscreens like FS2004. This would make it easy to use the touchscreen in 2D mode to activate the switches and buttons in the cockpit.

I believe you mentioned that during one of our talks at the Vipermeet in Vegas.
I put it in the development plan to make sure we keep an eye on that :wink2:

(This may sound a bit "arcade" but ...) I'd like to see the ability to designate / lock up a target by using a mouse, rather than (what I feel) is the "clunky" way you have to do it in Falcon 4.

Hmm, not sure what you mean, in F4 you use the rdr cursor control on your HOTAS the same as you would in the real jet.

 don't have a HOTAS ... just a force feedback - I have to use the arrow keys on the keyboard, and the response is not as "fine" as I would have liked, hence using a mouse

You mean like in Jane's IAF where you would click on a radar contact using the mouse to designate it? Good idea for non-HOTAS setups.

Well if you could buy a Track IR you can use that for looking around and ur HAT for cursormovement.
We'll see if we can do this, but as we are trying to implement a realistic approach I'm not in favor of this system.(personal opinion here not FO ;) )
Maybe we can do both but that's up to the coders.

Hey Everyone,
From what I know, the real hornet uses a key switch command on it's main MFD. Sort of a minature joystick (3" long or so) that your toggle on your display in 4 directions. The direction keys and HOTAS hat switching are problebly close enough to the real thing. At least that's my opinion. :thumb:
