I am a little bit concerned. Will the game be a 32 or a 64 bits game? I ask this question because I have heard that next year the new computersystems will have a 64 bits system. There will be a transitiol stage from 32 to 64 bits but after that the 64 bits system will not recognize the programs which runs under the 32 bits system.

So I hope with prospect to the future, FO is being made with the 64 bits technology. Otherwise in a couple of years FO will be obselete because the computersystems will not recognize the FO program anymore.

Can You confirm this?

My concern also, because the next upgrade will be a 64 bits machine...

I've always heard that the bittages were backwards compatable. I can still run 16 Bit programs on a 32.

Hey guy's,

AFAIK general information about this new 64 bits technology I believe that Spyder is correct.
I will confirm with one of the coders when I get a chance and let you know.

Best regards,

No need for concern. 32 bit programs will indeed run on 64 bit machines. No point making the first release of fighterops 64 bit only, as I would think that more than half of the machines in the marketplace will still be 32 bit when FO is released. Also no concerns about FO being made obsolete, being an ongoing development, new technologies will be constantly incorporated as they are released.

Okay, You have convinced me. I was worried about that subject because it would be a wasting of effort for the developing team.

Okay! I was only thinking in the interest of the FO team.

Keep on going strong!

I currently run 32 and 64 bit linux on my laptop. Only those items that like browser plugins and such don't work in 64 bit mode.
