{Initially posted in the Area 51 site, but due to underwhelming response, I thought I'd spark up some discussions here ...}
Hi,
I had a thought the other day while looking at the sunset / night screenshots on the site ...
I don't know how or if Falcon4 & LOMAC do this (if at all), but do the FO gods plan on "dynamic" natural light? eg if you took off for a long range / deep strike mission at 5.00 in the afternoon and your TOT was say 6.30, would there be an obvious "dimming" or transition of the light from the sun from a sunset to dusk to night? Or pre-dawn to dawn to daylight? What about seasonal differences (summer vs winter)?
I am not expecting to see this in any of the initial releases, but I was wondering if it had been considered at all, and perhaps to what detail?
I know there has been talk of weather effects (especially in light of in-game comms), but could the level of realism extend to meteorlogical (sp?) patterns in the campaign? For example, Florida is currently being hammered by hurricanes, the Falklands are experiencing short days due to winter-time, and southern and central Europe are having heat extremes, etc, etc, etc.
Any ideas :idea: / suggestions :director: / comments :cussing: / nuggets of info from the FO gods :gleam: ???
