CF-18 Skins..

Hi. I've seen some Screen Shots of CF-18 (Canadian version of the F/A-18). Well I'm sorry that an other simulator creator used the 410 Sqn Cougar paint job, which is the OTU (Operationnal Training Unit). They don't fly Operationnally. 4 Squadrons do : 416 Lynx, 425 Alouette, 433 Porcupine, 441 Silver Fox (checkers), all Tactical Fighter Squadrons.. 416 and 441 beeing based in Cold Lake, AB and 425 and 433 based in Bagotville, QC. I'm myself in the Royal Canadian Air Force (doing the pilot training) and I'm was sad when I saw that :sad:

Yeah, copy that, that aircraft model is only being used as a testbed and is something created for x-plane. Rest assured that if we create a CF-18 model for Fighter Ops we will ensure that it is technically accurate.

Hi Buckshot: IF???? I remember a conversation on the FreeBirds TS site with you, Claude and several others and I raised the question of including all of the countries that would participate in the Korean theatre. At that time there wasn't any discussion of middle east etc.
I was assured that all countries would be included including Canada. I realize we don't have a great military budget here but I'm sure we wouldn't go borrow other countries aircraft to fight a war with. lol

So please don't forget the Canadians when you're doing skins.

As a Canadian I am hoping that you will incorporate a CF-18 into FOps. Hell, I'll donate funds to ensure you put the CF18 in!

They are no longer available, these were some shots of very early tests with the x-plane engine. The model was just one we grabbed and was not very accurate, rest assured that once the hornet is incorporated, both the CF and RAAF skins won't be too far away.

Hey Crazy: You're in the Canadian Forces, I was in the R.C.A.F. lol I hope you were successful in your pilot training. I was a Para Rescueman in the RCAF and a Sar Tech in the CAF. Retired after 36 years.
