If given free time in your F-16, what - of your favorite (fun) aerobatic moves you would perform?
Cuban 8's, Split S, Spins...?


Also I would like to know what a 270 degree aileron roll with say a 30 degree pull at the end of the roll is called? I've seen this on a number of clips and wondered if it has a specific name.

Isn't that just a 'simple' aileron roll... the pitch up at the end is to clear the flight area and gain altitude for a slice turn back into the demonstration area?

My favorite is when I am rolling on the taxi and I lift my canopy up then back down! Man I am good! ;)

I like them all but doing a split S to an immelman or a loop is pretty fun. Aileron rolls are always fun to do too.
The maneuver you described above is a 270 degree aileron roll with a 30 degree pull up at the end:bigsmile:
Just kidding..really no name for it. Just a way to perform a maneuver and set up for the next one from what I have seen.

I've had a number of pilots mention the Split S and Immelman is a favorite - I have an opportunity to have a flight in an L39 and wanting to gain some inside info to make the most out of the ride as possible.

I have to giggle,

My most unfavorite, is a mission the morning after with a liquid helmet fire of Mrs. Sambuka, Map explosion, Trying to FAC in my Checkins while getting jumped by red air. All this time trying to Roll inverted to pick up that box of spilled chiken biscuits and Plotter/Greaspen. :clown:

Well my favourite (in Falcon 4) is see how low I can skim the runway inverted with out fertilizing the field with my charred remains.. :wink2:
Or going vertical till she wont go anymore.
Or skimming the hills dodging thos incoming SA5's..nasty little critters... :thumb:
