View Full Version : Real Life - APPROACHES......
Dude.
Ara'.
How are ya'....?
OKAY - I'd like to talk about REAL LIFE APPROACHES..... OK....?
When in a BAR, and an F-16 Driver sees a REALLY hot chick.......
What APPROACH do you usually use....?
Do you:
* Don the Aviation sunglasses and sing: "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling"...?
OR
* Do you say summin' like: "Wanna see my Love-Viper".......?
OR
* Do you just flip out your Disco Balls......?
Just curious.
The Gorn. :evils:
PS. Does your F-16 have Fluffy Dice hanging from the Mirror....??

Yo Gorn,
Usually a combo of number 2 and 3 above will work. Asking if they would like to see the love Viper while whipping out the disco balls usually works good. I do have fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror, also.
Cool....!! :thumb:
EXACTLY as I'd envisioned.....!!
You NEVER disappoint.
BTW - Don't be afraid to ask ME any questions YOU may have regarding the Viper.
I am considered - among myself - quite an EXPERT.

muahahahahahaaaawww...... yeah Gorn, you're a friggin EXPERT :D Cool grey bird with tons of stuff to kill people under its wings, heh? It can kill many enemy soldiers. Actually if Aragorn's in the cockpit it mostly kills many friendly soldiers and sometimes some of the bad guys, too.
cheers.... where's the beer?
hey btw Haole... can you describe some basic Crud rules to me? :D Goddamn this game should be real FUN if ya actually know how to play it :D

CRUD...one Cue ball and another ball on a standard pool table and two teams...the BASIC rules are that you can only touch the cue ball when it is your turn to go...you can only "shoot" from the ends of the table and not the sides. draw a 45 degree line off the pockets on each end and from that line inward are your limits for shooting. outside of that and they will call "balls" on ya. You have to hit the ball on the table (target ball) with your cue ball before the target ball stops moving. If the ball stops moving before you hit it then you use a life. If you get balls called on you then you lose a life. There are other rules pertaining to blocking/hitting that you cant break or you lose a life. You are normally allowed one block per turn then you have to stay stationary. As soon as you shoot you have to get out of the way so that your team mate can get in and try to hit the other teams guy who is now the shooter. Once he shoots he will get out of the way and YOUR team mate tries to grab the cue ball and shoot. This alternates back and forth. You are trying to shoot the target ball into one of the pockets of course. The "judge" crud master will determine if the side pockets can be used or not. If not they will pack the holes with something and only the corner pockets are used.
Some tactics include trying to barely tap the target ball while making the "Q" ball bounce all around the table out of reach of the next shooter. By the time he grabs the Q ball the target ball has stopped rolling and the guy/gal with the Q ball in his hand loses a life.
This is all WAY too confusing to explain in writing...but with this basic knowledge you should be able to watch a game or two and be fairly good to go.
Hope this helped!

Yeah, Crud is great fun, seems to be the international air force game, lol, is played over here too, but not many outside of the air force have ever heard of it, at least over here that is. Will definately have to arrange a game or two in vegas :evils:

It's played in the Australian military too, though we called it "slosh" - or "combat slosh" depending on the blocking tactics permitted ;)

Yeah, that's where I was referring to with "over here", I'm in Australia, although when we played it, we did call it crud/combat crud

Known as TANKS in The Royal Air Force... but concede to calling it CRUD when visiting USAF bases

This reminds me of the old saying....
The USAF, USA, and USN all have a football team.... Do you know why the Marines do not have a football team?
Same reason we do not have this game....
We're too damn busy protecting the Country to worry about some silly quarterback or a game of balls....
Just thought you folks might be interested in this discussion on F-16.net forums:
CRUD - a game played on a Billiards or Snooker table (http://www.f-16.net/f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-1266.html)
There you will also find a long post on CRUD rules! :thumb:
Enjoy :wink2:
