Greetings y'all

Any chance these forums get some new, better looking themes? This one is seriously "yuck".

itīs very constructive for a first post.... maybe i must start becoming like you to have some response to my posts (remember my PM Katz?...) from the FO staff.

I always have to do the hard work..
I don't mind this style, and it's a lot of work to change them, so I know (from experience) that it's best to leave it unless there's a bunch of people that complain.

I may install some more, which you guys can choose from (by which I mean that this will be default, but you can choose to skin it with another style), but I'm a bit lazy, so you will have to look around and tell me what you like..

It didn't have to be constructive. Just an observation from one of forums readers.
Of course this has brought some local trolling over here; what I was pretty sure about.

Patrick (admin), when you find time. Make a new theme :thumb: Or recruit some volunteer artist from forum readers.

Standard BBS emoticons instead of these "cute/sick ones" would be also a change for better.

Suggestion for new default theme:
Colors (dark grey, dark green) and fonts used on http://fighterops.com/index1.htm

don't copy it though.

Want more readers, and more posters? Make this forum a great place to stay. Otherwise it will be very empty. Like it is now.

We did have standard emoticons, but Stang wanted new ones!

When I have time (working on something else right now) I will look into adding some for you guys..

These interesting/hillarious emoticons instead of those "boring/mundane/homogenous/lacking personality ones".


So, Patrick - perhaps the key word in your response would be "add" as opposed to "delete".

I wanted to use one here (in my previous post) just as an example.
However when I've done (IMG]http://files.deviantart.com/f/2004/168/1/6/dieshotgun.gif(/IMG] command, it still doesn't appear :(

Buckshot, adding the old emoticons isn't that hard and time comsuming :p :D
You can see this as a second request for the old smilies ;)

there is nothing wrong with them Buckshot i like what you added and if the others dont then tough.......you cant keep changing things to suit individuals all the time.......you guys are working on Fighter Ops and got more important stuff to think about than a few smilies.
I think its just being picky if someone complains about smilies :wacko:
