hi Haole, or any other drivers here for that matter.

Have you always been a Viper driver, or did you come in from some other corner of the airforce (I assume you used to be USAF). I am in contact with several members of the Strike Eagle community, and there it is quite commonplace for aircrew to come in from all over the place (WSOs upgrading to pilot, converting over from other airframes, one pilot even started out as a maintenance dude  ). Have you done a shift as an instructor pilot in a training squadron, or how is the pilot training system organised in the ANG?#

Thanks for any info! :thumb:

Thanks for any info! :thumb:Hi MikeRocker,

I started out as an Air Traffic Controller and then went to UPT. I was selected to fly for the Guard but did my pilot training and F-16 training with the regular Air Force. We all go through regular AF Pilot training but some guys go to F-16 school through a Guard course.
I have only been assigned to the F-16, but you are correct in that some guys switch air frames along the way.
Just let me know if you needed more specific information! Have a good day!
CHEERS!
