Hey Haole,
I have been flying Falcon now since before it was released.. I can't even remember the last time I ever crash landed in Falcon besides having to do belly lands from damaged gear due to campaign missions.
However, as a real pilot landing the viper, how much attention do you pay to your instruments while landing?
The reason why I ask, is although I can do pretty much perfect landings using the ILS, or VASI and AOA lights, I find it very comfortable to land by feel? In online flying the ATC gets pretty whacked so we land in on our own. And If I want a perfect touchdown I will use the VASI for my approach. However, I find that landing by feel is so easy and always turns up a beautiful touchdown. If I am trying to use the VASI and ILS I am constantly course correcting to get the perfect readbacks.
Do you follow your instruments to a tee? Or do you use them briefly to make sure you don't over shoot or land to short on the runway and just put the plane down?
