Welcome to Haole's Corner

Hi Guys

I just thought I let you know that Haole's flying today somewhere over the great State of Georgia, kicking the snot outta some aggressor pilots. When he gets in he said he'd jump in and open this place up properly.

Until then, please look around, ask questions, bring up topics or whatever you like, just try to stay away from the sensitive areas (weapon system employment, tactics & specifications)

Other than that...enjoy yourselves in Haole's new Corner!

Hello everyone!
I hope that you all will enjoy my thread as much as I will! I hope to make it as fun yet informative as possible. As Stang mentioned, I was flying over the state of Georgia yesterday afternoon and was flying out over the ocean yesterday morning. We had a 4V2 yesterday morning and then did some CAS and 2V2 in the afternoon. We go to a MOA called Bulldog near Augusta, GA. Over the Atlantic we fight in Warning Areas 161 and 177 that run from Myrtle Beach down to Charleston, SC.
We had a great time and I plan to tell you more about this mission and others as I fly them. I want to keep you informed on the kinds of mission that a F16CJ performs.
Thanks again for stopping and and feel free to ask away with questions! Have a great weekend!!
Cheers!

it's a very good idea ...

and I 'll go back on this thread regulary...

one question : when you go on the apron to go flight; how long is the pre-check and startup engine.
Do you need to stay for 8 mn for the INS sytem too , or do you have a way to go faster ??

In mission planning we normally plan 20 minutes from step to start, then 15 minutes start to taxi and 15 minutes taxi to takeoff. This is just the average day. This usually provides enough time for the pilot to step and start, recognize any problems, step to a spare if needed and still join up in the EOR with his flight and make the take off time.
We prefer the 8 minute alignment but you can taxi earlier if needed.
Thanks for writing!
Cheers
