From what has been said, it looks like a massive front for a war. With the entire world being modeled, there could easily be battles raging on multiple fronts and multiple countries at a time.
I am curious to see other peoples opinions on this next question.
Would you rather your campaign be strictly centered around one unit, one aircraft type, and one battle area? Or would you rather have the ability to jump from unit to unit and fly missions all over, with all different types of aircraft, and all within the saqme time frame?
We all know what I mean by the first part of the question. You select an aircraft and unit and each 'mission day' that goes by, you are flying missions with that same unit, same aircraft type, and same AO.
What I mean by the second is simply this. The dynamic campaign generator or mission creators determine that there will be appoximatly 5 missions taking place on Day 1. Each mission is in a different area with a different aircraft. You can choose which ones you want to fly and which ones you do not. Say I want to fly the F-16 mission in Iraq, the F-15 mission in Iran, and the F-16 missions in Egypt. Then I fly each of those missions myself, one after the other, and the campaign generator determines the outcome of the missions I did not fly. Then we move on to Day 2.
So, using that method, you bounce around between different aircraft and such. Of course this would mean that you would have different pilot profiles for each aircraft type in each unit you bounce around to.
Just curious to see opinions. I think this is one of those 'love it or hate it' topics. :)
