These questions concern mainly navigation/targetting pods on F-16s.
I heard that a program is underway to bring Blocks 40/42 and 50/52 to relatively similar configurations. How similar would they be? What remain different? Does that program give them both the ability to carry LANTIRN pods and the ability to carry HTS?
I've seen picture of F-16C Block 30 carrying targetting pods. Have they ever been seen carrying only the targetting pod component of LANTIRN, or are they always fitted with Litening?
I've never seen Block 30/32 carrying anything on the port side of the intake...... are Block 40/42 the only ones capable of carrying the navigational pod component of LANTIRN?
Will Block 25 ever be equipped with any targetting pod? (Some websites claimed that [1] Block 25 will receive HTS, and [2] some will even get Sniper......)
