View Full Version : Our Avatar
I wrote already about this, but I think you dont understand me :( (you wrote about AI)
In majority sims our avatar (virtual me) is like super hero. Can you imagine a guy who can resist 9G for example for 6-8 sec. and few seconds later again this same, and again, again without blackout??
In real life your G resistance depends of many (not included in sims :( ) things.
If for example you flight a patrol mission for few hours your ability to resist high G is much lower then in GAI mission.
During Dogfight your G resistance decrease in time (almost all time G is more then 3 )
And what about decompression? In F4 you can choose air source but when you decompress cabin on very high altitude nothing happend!!
I hope that FO developers include this in sim. :military:
AI's don't react to a situation, they are programed to do certain things at certain times. For example; In Falcon 4.0, I will set the AI pilot to ACE and add three Mig-29's with heaters/guns only in a Furball match. I ussually down them all before I get hit. The tactics used by the program is called an algorythum. The computer has a cycled list of movement/tactics it uses for the AI aircraft (algorythum). The algorythum superseeds the rest of the flight dynamics which is why AI's seem like Superman! For Fighter Ops, I have some good news, and some bad news. The bad news is that Fighter Ops will use algorythums as well, the good news is that G2I/Gen Av are coding the AI and this should be 10x better with the logic used in past flight sims!
Oops! My english must be very, very poor if you don't understend me :(
I wrote about avatar not about opponent.
AVATAR=ME. I'm like superhero not adversary!
P.S. Sorry for Caps but I'm mad for myself :military:

Yeah, I understand you Spyro, by Avatar you are meaning your character in the game. (the virtual pilot) (FYI avatar actually refers to the little picture you use under your name in the forums :D )
Back to the question though, you'll actually find that in Falcon the blackout is a little too harsh and doesn't go through all the correct stages (colour loss, then tunnel vision, etc). This will certainly be looked at with advice from current fighter pilots like Haole.
There are many huge impacts on G tolerance, even down to diet, physical fitness and tiredness, not all of these can be implented in a sim obviously, but all factors will be looked into and when the time comes we may even be able to engage the community feedback if choices need to be made.
Sorry Spyro 23, I guess I lost track of myself, I see what you mean now. The flight physics on a human has been thoughly tested, and Buckshot is correct. (pilots physical condition, ect.) And you a correct as well, after time goes on as a pilot encounters "G's", his ability to withstand "G's" is greatly reduced. However, Russian pilots claim to have never "red out" or "black out" due to there training. I don't know if I believe them, but that's what they say. Sorry again for the misunderstanding.

Sorry about the slight irrelevance, but isn't an avatar simply something that represents you (whether it be the little picture in the forums, or someone's in-game character)? If not, it must just be me getting confused again. Maybe I've had too much to drink

HOLY WORDS !!!
I HOPE THAT 10X APPLIES TO AI TACTICS AS WELL BECAUSE IN F4 THEY SUCK BIG TIME EVEN WITH SP4 AND BMS...

This was one my most important topics in G2i Forum. Sr Haole was very helpfull at that time.
I will post a thread on AI's shortly, as well as cocpit wishes on a new post. The Avitar situation I understand. I think Fighter Ops will model the avitar a bit better as I have a few sugestions about your vurtual self as well. :D
