Thanks fellas, these are good sides of the simulations I have played so far since 1992. Let's hope they will implement these features also...

Awesome job organizing all our ideas

I realize that its probably not a possibility quite yet but maybe in later versions of FO but i think it would be so freakin cool that if you had to eject during a mission that instead of like in other games where the mission just ends right there you would have to land and survive untill SAR came and got you. I think it would be an awesome extra effect for realism :D :D :D

that could be added when they release Army Corps I think! :)

IMHO, this is unnecessary. Sure, it adds to immersion(?) etc but how often would you do it?

Its like the ramp start and even taxi start in F4. Sometimes (read: virtually always) most of can't be bothered with all the crap and just wanna fly! Heck, I know some who can't even be bothered with the take-off start, advance time to 2 mins past take-off, and jump into the cockpit at 22,000 feet.

As I say, would be way cool - once.

Why not make this a option... Then everybody will be happy :drink:

In F 4 SP4, the ramp start is very gradifying in that you are going through the motions of turning "up" you aircraft. And, if you needed to switch the fuel transfer from wings to fuselage (not curently supported by SP) when you were damaged, you would know right where to go. It's all about realisim. Don't you agree?

I also think the ramp start originally suggested is a little over the top. I would very much love having to start up the JFS's and configure everything a lá SP3 or Fly!, but I'd think any warmup done outside of the cockpit requires much additional game engine modification, since the engine would really be written to handle in-cockpit situations.

As a hardcore simmer, I would be thrilled simply to see a takeoff checklist similar to the SP3's, only with additional realism. My initial impression is that ground crew interaction and preparation done outside of the cockpit would be an effort outweighing its gain.

Of course, I support a get-in-and-fly feature for the more sane than I. :)

:) yes, my request was quite over the top (it was also wished by someone else in the forum)

anyways, best start-up I have ever seen is the DI's Super Hornet, where you start APU and engines and then waiting for ground crews' signals prior to taxiing to catapults. here are the shots from the manual...

Content displayed above, belongs to Digital Integrations

and it was one of the best manuals I have ever seen, each topic mentioned in detail and realistic manner.

No flight sim has ever attempted a ground crew in turning up your aircraft until Super Hornet. Unfortunattly, they all look like stick figures! A ramp start option with ground crew is deffinately a part of my wish list! But only if they model them a bit better than Super Hornet. Also, if the ground crew can actually taxi your aircraft from parking to the ramp, and taxi you to parking. I e-mailed Brownsnake at F4UT about this prospect, but never heard a reply. One more thing, I wish for a nifty "snap salute" after a ground crew launch/taxi. That's part of realizim. I know because I've worked on flight decks and airbases in the military. Believe me, I know what it's like!!! :D

One thing I would like to see it the implementation of separate logbooks for each plane type.
Also the logging of hours, flights, landings, takeoffs, refuels, launches (carrier takeoffs) and traps (carrier landings).

The ability of requesting the tower permission to touch and go, or the option of full stop.

A working ILS, GPS, and TCN in single and multi-player.
The ability to perform IMC precision instrument landings.

Commercial aircraft as both targets and nuetrals.
