View Full Version : Apache Longbow??? maybe?

Hi all,

I would definitely like to see fighters modeled and working correctly before this happens but could we possibly have rotary wing aircraft included in this sim? Not only would be fun for combat but could also be used for SAR type missions. There hasn't been a good chopper sim out there since Janes Longbow 2.

A realistic tank sim would also be very cool if we could incorporate that into the air war.

Just my wish list.

While I voted yes I think adding Helos would come in one of the modules described in the FAQ instead of with Fighter Ops.

I don't think the total number of aircrafts is awesome. I think The most important is how aircrafts will be programmed in detail. May be too many aircrafts may fall down the detail of this project.

of course this is just my think. :D

You do have a valid point flybyfly, but seeing that it is going to be released in modules, i doubt that if they make plenty of flyables, that the quality would drop. As every new module they make is going to take time and they only want the best. :D

Thanks Prowler. I had no idea they were working on this. Maybe Claude should contact them. Seems like they've already put a ton of work into the aircraft models. Could save Claude and Co. some time and effort if they incorporated what the combat-helo people have done into a module for ACC.

I second on that. I really would like to see a Longbow or Blackhawk simulator as well as a M1A1 simulator.

This will be a very nice sim. Will all the different modules they are planning it sort reminds of all of the Janes series combat sims (which were excellent sims at that time...especially Longbow 2)
